G17 University Ambassadors Consortium

Towards a Sustainable University System!

G17 is a fellowship program to empower students to become the next generation of young professionals to make SDGs a reality through its four pillars including capacity building, leadership, policy advocacy, and action. As the initial stage of this program, 170 Undergraduates were appointed as SDG Ambassadors from 10 Sri Lankan Universities and it is governed by the National Executive Committee which is a coalition of 20 Young people coming from diverse backgrounds.

This program aims to not only engage students nationally and internationally, but also empower them with knowledge and skills to become effective agents of change to create a sustainable university system. Ultimately, empowering students to prioritize sustainable development in their lifestyles, behaviours, education and professional career.
